Widows often face significant challenges following the loss of their partners, including emotional distress, financial instability, and social marginalization. Our Widows Empowerment program aims to provide the necessary support, resources, and opportunities to help widows regain their independence, confidence, and dignity. We believe that every widow deserves a chance to rebuild their lives and thrive.
Our Initiatives
Economic Empowerment and Skills Training
We connect widows with professional trainers who offer skills development and vocational training in fields such as tailoring and crafts. By partnering with skilled trainers, we empower widows to start their own businesses or secure employment, promoting financial independence.
Microfinance and Startup Support
To foster entrepreneurship, we provide microfinance options and startup capital for widows looking to establish or expand their businesses. Our financial literacy workshops help participants manage their finances effectively, ensuring sustainable growth and stability.
Emotional and Social Support
Recognizing the emotional toll of losing a partner, we provide counseling and support groups where widows can share their experiences, find solidarity, and receive guidance. These spaces foster healing and help build a supportive community.
Cooperative and Stall Support
To enhance income stability, we established a cooperative affiliated with our organization where widows work together to manage and sell their products. This cooperative provides a platform for mutual support and growth. Additionally, we have rented a stall in town where widows can showcase and sell their creations, reaching a broader customer base and fostering economic independence.
