OVC Luncheon at Mvono Community Centre
Today, Mvono Community Centre hosted a truly memorable luncheon for our Orphaned and Vulnerable Children (OVCs). The day was filled with joy, laughter, and a deep sense of community. We were honored to welcome several esteemed guests, including the Deputy Governor of Taita Taveta, who shared inspiring thoughts on the importance of our work.
The Deputy Governor of Taita Taveta emphasized the urgent need for a rescue center dedicated to OVCs and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) victims. They also highlighted the critical role of supporting the education of OVCs and empowering widows as essential steps toward building a resilient and thriving community.
Throughout the event, the children enjoyed delicious meals, participated in engaging activities, and felt the love and care that Mvono Community Centre provides. The smiles on their faces were a testament to the impact of this day.
We are deeply grateful to our guests, supporters, and everyone who contributed to making this day special. Your involvement helps us continue creating meaningful experiences that nurture the growth and well-being of these young souls. Together, we are building a brighter future for our OVCs and the entire community.
Thank you for being a part of this journey with us. We look forward to further collaboration to make these important initiatives a reality.
